  • Stated validity requirements
  • Applicable promotional conditions
  • Applicable laws and regulations

The terms displayed at the time of purchase or issuance may contain additional conditions applicable to the particular Gift Card or Voucher.

  • Gift Card/Voucher value
  • Applicable Brand or issuer
  • Validity period
  • Redemption method
  • Applicable restrictions
  • Eligible Products or services
  • Applicable cancellation or refund conditions

6. Delivery & Activation

Once payment has been successfully processed, the Gift Card or Voucher may be delivered electronically through the Platform, registered email, mobile application, or another authorised delivery mechanism.

Gift Cards and Vouchers may be delivered electronically.

Depending on the issuer and Product, activation may occur:

  • Automatically after successful payment
  • Upon issuance
  • Upon first redemption
  • Through another process specified by the issuer

Customers should not share Gift Card or Voucher codes with unauthorised persons.

Khatriji shall not be responsible for unauthorised use resulting from voluntary disclosure of a Gift Card or Voucher code, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Redemption

A Gift Card or Voucher may be redeemed only:

  • Through the designated redemption channel
  • Within the applicable validity period
  • For eligible Products or services
  • In accordance with issuer-specific conditions

Some Gift Cards or Vouchers may be redeemable only on the issuer's own website, application, store, or designated outlet rather than directly on Khatriji.

The applicable redemption instructions shall be displayed or communicated where reasonably practicable.

8. Validity & Expiry

Each Gift Card or Voucher may have a specified validity period.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the validity information before purchase and redemption.

An expired Gift Card or Voucher may become unavailable for redemption, subject to the applicable issuer terms and applicable law.

Where the issuer provides a separate expiry or extension mechanism, that mechanism shall apply.

9. Restrictions

Unless expressly permitted by the applicable issuer or programme terms, Gift Cards and Vouchers may not be:

  • Exchanged for cash
  • Transferred for unlawful consideration
  • Used for prohibited transactions
  • Resold through unauthorised channels
  • Duplicated or altered
  • Used after expiry

Additional restrictions may apply to specific Gift Cards or Vouchers.

10. Relationship with Issuer Terms

Gift Cards and Vouchers may be issued by third parties. Accordingly, the Customer may also be subject to the applicable issuer's:

  • Gift Card Terms
  • Voucher Terms
  • Redemption rules
  • Refund rules
  • Expiry rules
  • Brand-specific restrictions

Where an issuer imposes Product-specific conditions, those conditions shall apply to the extent legally valid and applicable to the relevant Gift Card or Voucher.

11. Gift Card Balance

Where a Gift Card provides a balance-based value, the applicable balance may be displayed:

  • On the Khatriji Platform
  • Through the issuer's website or application
  • At the time of redemption
  • Through another authorised channel

The available balance may be reduced by eligible redemptions.

Khatriji may rely on the issuer's balance records where the Gift Card is issued and operated by a third party.

12. Partial Redemption

Where permitted by the applicable issuer, a Gift Card may be used for a transaction having a value lower than the available Gift Card balance.

Any remaining balance may continue to be available for future eligible transactions, subject to:

  • Applicable validity
  • Issuer-specific conditions
  • Redemption restrictions

Some Gift Cards may require full or specific-value redemption and may not support partial redemption.

13. Multiple Gift Cards or Vouchers

14. Lost, Stolen, or Compromised Codes

Gift Card and Voucher codes should be treated as confidential.

If a code is lost, stolen, disclosed, copied, or otherwise compromised, the Customer should contact Khatriji or the relevant issuer as soon as reasonably practicable.

Replacement or recovery may not be possible in every case.

Where supported by the issuer, a compromised Gift Card may be blocked or reissued subject to verification and applicable terms.

  • Activated
  • Delivered
  • Viewed or disclosed

A Gift Card or Voucher may not be redeemable where the code:

  • Is invalid
  • Has already been redeemed
  • Has expired
  • Has been cancelled
  • Has been suspended
  • Has been reported as compromised

Khatriji may investigate such cases where reasonably necessary.

  • Using Gift Cards and Vouchers lawfully
  • Reporting suspected fraud or unauthorised use promptly

  • Issuance
  • Validity
  • Redemption
  • Balance maintenance
  • Brand acceptance
  • Issuer-side technical processing

Khatriji may facilitate the purchase and delivery of the Gift Card or Voucher but may not control the issuer's independent systems or policies.

  • Other unlawful activity

Khatriji may take reasonable measures to protect Customers, Sellers, issuers, and the Platform.

Where reasonably practicable, the Customer may be informed of material restrictions.

Customers should first raise Gift Card or Voucher-related concerns through the designated Khatriji support channel.

Depending on the nature of the issue, Khatriji may:

  • Review the transaction
  • Verify purchase records
  • Request supporting information
  • Coordinate with the issuer
  • Facilitate communication between the Customer and issuer

Where the issue relates exclusively to the issuer's independent system, the Customer may also be required to contact the issuer.

  • Gift Card delivery
  • Voucher delivery
  • Purchase confirmation
  • Transaction references
  • Redemption-related enquiries

  • Legal compliance

Information may be shared with the relevant issuer or service provider where reasonably necessary to complete or support the transaction and as permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Khatriji shall not be responsible for losses arising solely from:

  • Unauthorised disclosure of a Gift Card or Voucher code by the Customer
  • Use of a Gift Card or Voucher contrary to its applicable terms
